Sorry that I was late with the post today. I spent labor day weekend at the lake with zero internet connection, so there wasn't much I could do except post via my phone, which isn't my ideal. Anyways on with the show.
Glossybox is another subscription sample box that I receive monthly. Its a whole different demon from Birchbox. It costs slightly more then double what Birchbox costs, but you are more likely to receive high end and full sized items. Since Glossybox is an international company, you get to try some great beauty products from around the world.
This month I received 5 full sized items plus a complimentary makeup bag. Unlike most sample subscription boxes I am actually excited to try all these products. They are all products that I love to use, plus being a makeup fiend it is great to see some makeup in a beauty box every now and again.
This month I received Anatomicals Spray Mist for Me Facial Spritz which contains lavender and refreshing peppermint to rehydrate and revitalize skin. I have heard that lavender can be an irritant, but it says that it is good for normal, dry and sensitive skin. We shall see how that goes.
The Novex Brazilian Keratin Hair Care Treatment Cream really got me excited. I am always looking for hair care solutions for my dry wavy long hair. It contains replenishing hair proteins (Keratin is the protein that your hair is primarily made up of) . It is good at restoring shine and smoothness. I want to wait until my deep conditioner is used up to try this, but I am not sure that I will be able to be that patient.
Now onto the makeup (which is probably my favorite part of the box). I am loving the bright pink color of the Jelly Pong Pong Lip Blush. It seems similar to all those stain balms that are out there on the market. I will be intrigued to see how hydrating and long lasting the color can be.
I have gotten a few things from Model Co in the past and I recall liking what I have gotten before. The Model Co Eyeshadow Duo in Bronzed Goddess is a good neutral everyday shadow duo. The lighter color is a bit flakey but it left a nice shimmery foiled look on my lid. The dark brown color is very creamy feeling and had great pigmentation. I will definitely be adding this into my everyday makeup routine at least for a while to get the feel for them, but so far so good.
Lastly I received the Sue Devitt Triple C-Weed Pressed Powder. I have heard great things about Sue Devitt products but I have never had the opportunity to try them. This lightweight powder is infused with green tea and vitamin C, it is said to control shine and even out skin tone while setting makeup. I am always looking for a good pressed powder and I am excited to try this as soon as I get a little paler in the winter.
This months Glossybox has been a good surprise. All the products are stuff I would actually use and they are all a great size to get a good proper try of the products before you make a judgement.
What are some of your favorite monthly subscription boxes?
